It seems on every census Rhoda would use a different name or it would be mistakenly transcribed. They are listed as Perse, Pearse, Purse and Pierce. The correct spelling is Perse. They lived in Barry County Missouri, Erath Texas, Iowa and Oklahoma Indian Territory.
Mary Polly Perse Worden was the oldest of 7 children. Charles Carol was born in Kinderhook michigan in 1844, George Rileywas born in 1848 kinderhook michigan, Ruth Ann was born 1849 Kinderhook, MI; William Robert was born in 1853; Cora Belle was born in kinderhook MI in 1859 and Frank was born in Elliot, Iowa in 1863. Frank was kidnapped and tortured by a ku klux klan group called the blue ribbon regulators in June of 1880. Polly was long married and gone by that time, so not sure if you had heard about that but there is a story in the New York Times about it. My email is [email address removed]
