She married Ira Wallace Belden, son of Frank Wayburn Belden and Emma Almeda (Isham) Belden. Two marriage records are recorded for the couple, one on 24 October 1906 in Lac Qui Parle, Minnesota[3] and one on 6 May 1914.[4][5]

Hazel Eybs (b. 1922) cited as his daughter on Find-a-Grave page is identified as Emma Belden's foster daughter in the 1940 census.[6]
According to the 1940 census records, the couple had again separated, with Ira identifying him self as widowed and Mary identifying herself as divorced.[6][7] The 1910 census records confirm that the couple had separated--that Mae was living with her siblings and other family members[5][8] By 1920, she was again living with Ira, but by 1930 was no longer with him.[9][10]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:
