Biography

August was born on 25 Sep 1857 at Shea Oak Log, South Australia, Australia. He was the son of Rudolph Pertzel and Marie Kallaucke.

August PERTZEL and Auguste LINDNER were married in New South Wales. The marriage was registered at Albury in 1878.^[1]

At 1891 Census, he was a farmer near Wagga, New South Wales.

At his death in 1917 he was a labourer at Wolff Bros Flax Mill in Drouin, Victoria. He died as a result of injuries sustained working near the flax scutching machine.
