On June 14, 1854, Jansje married Matthijs Römer (1828-1916)[3] , son of Christiaan Peter and Maria Catharina Holthuijs. A note on the marriage record states "Erk. 1 kind"[4].

Jansje died (age 65) in 28 May 1894 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Nederland.[5].
