Marjory (Marjy) Merle Peters was born on 27 April 1915 in Dawson, South Australia, Australia [1], the daughter of Walter Charles Peters and Dorathea Emily Rasmus and the sister of Beryl Jean (Peters) McDonald, Laurence Walter Peters and Reginald Lindsay Peters.
She married Frederick Rexton (Rexton) Miller on 31 July 1937 in the Hallett Methodist Church, Hallett, South Australia, Australia [2][3] .
After their marriage, Marjory and Rexton moved to the Lucindale District to serve as a Home Missionaries with the South Australian Methodist Home Missions [4] and it was while living in Lucindale that her husband enlisted to serve in the Australian Army in the Second World War. He served as a "Motor Driver" in the 2AIF, 2nd 8th Australian Field Ambulance Unit and unfortunately he didn't return as he was Killed in Action while serving in Tobruk, Ţubruq, Libya on 4 May 1941 [5].
Marjory returned to their home town of Hallett in the North East of South Australia, Australia where she remained until moving to the Carinya Homes in Clare, South Australia, Australia [6].
She lived a further 63 years, after the death of her husband, before passing away on 23 November 2004 in Clare, South Australia, Australia. Her remains were returned home to Hallett to be buried in the Hallett Cemetery. [6][7].
