Magdalena was born between 1760 and 1765 (derived from ages given in 1810 and 1830 censuses). She passed away after 1830.
Her daughter Rebecca reported in 1880 census that her mother was born in Virginia. Her daughter Salome was enumerated twice in this census, once giving her mother's birthplace as Virginia and once giving it as Maryland.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Magdalena by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Magdalena:
Unknown-600223 and Peters-13877 appear to represent the same person because: John Eller (son of Unknown-600223) and Susannah Garst (daughter of Peters-13877) are both mentioned as heirs in the will of Jacob Eller (Eller-1144), proof that "Magdalene unknown" and "Magdalena Peters" are one and the same.
Quite a few family trees online have recorded the maiden name of Jacob Eller's wife as Peters (as seen in the Peters-13877 entry). However it is my understanding that no documentation exists to prove this, and may have originally arisen as a confusion with Magdalene's grandson Jacob and his wife, named Magdalene Peters. (See "Problem No. II" in following document: https://www.ellerfamilyassociation.com/media/jacob_magdalene.pdf)
