In 1923, Kate was working as a clerk in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.
On 16th of June 1923, eighteen-year-old Katherine married George Lawrie, son of George Lawrie and Annetta Little, in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Twenty-two-year-old George was employed in time study in Detroit.
On 12 October 1925, Kate married Luther A. Blackburn in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan.
