Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Thanks for your message indicating you wish to research/document your family history. I have found WikiTree to be an excellent tool for research and collaboration.

You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add Profiles to WikiTree. Once you entered your family members it is exciting to see other people finding your family profiles, asking questions, and expanding it.

I am the daughter of Bryant Elwood Carter and Ruth Eleanore Peters. I was born April 29, 1946. I have 3 children, Alfred Castle, Christine Watson and Naomi Jones. My mother was born in Germany. She has 2 sisters, 1 deceased, and 2 brothers. My mother was born in 1923 and died in 2013. She and Bryant never married. He has 2 daughters in California and Canada. His son lives also in California. Mr. Carter was on active duty in Germany when he and my mother got together. His son's name is Richard and his daughter's name is Sally (Deutz). The one in Canada I am unsure of; she is a little older than me. I was born on April 29, 1946.
