Hanna Catherine (Peters) Keck immigrated from Upper Pfalls, Bavaria, with her husband, Henry Keck, arriving in Philadelphia on October 17, 1732, on the English Ship "Clyde."[1]
Hanna and her husband worked for a number of years as "redemptioners"[1] to repay the cost of their voyage. After the debt was paid, they came to Northhampton, now Lehigh, county, Pennnsylvania where their children were born.
Henry Keck, Jr. enlisted February 26, 1777, in Capatin Yost Driesback's company from Northampton, PA, first company of Baron de Ottendorff's corps. Henry married and settled in Salisbury township on the Little Lehigh River, where his descendants still live.
Fredrick Keck (1739 - 1803) fought in the battles of Germantown and Brandywine, then moved to South Carolina after the Revolutionary War
John Keck, married a daughter of Nicholas Uberath of Salisbury township, and moved to the old homestead that his parents settled. He was the father of three children, who came to Allentown, where his descendants still live.
Andrew Keck, fought with his brothers Fredrick and George in the battles of Germantown and Brandywine. After the death of his brother, John, he purchased the family homestead and married Barbara Blank. Andrew remained on the homestead until his death in May, 1828.
Elias "Eli" Keck, born 1745, moved to South Carolina after the Revolutionary War
George Keck, born 1748, died February 1, 1816, during the Revolutionary War, served with the 4th Battalion of Northampton County Militia, Pennsylvania Troops, married Catherine Helen Schaub, in 1769.
Mary Elizabeth Keck born February 23, 1770 in Salisbury Twp, Northampton, died 1815, married Johannes "John" Berger on 1791 in Salisbury Twnshp, Northampton County, PA [2]
