Jorgen was born in Denmark in 1822, the son of Peder Christian Jorgensen and Martha L. Neilsdatter of Denmark. Jorgen married Nicoline Hullena “Line” Olsen. They had at least seven children. Jorgen had three wives, and at least eight children. Jorgen died, aged 88, in 1910 in Snowville, Utah, and is buried in Brigham City Cemetery, Brigham City, Box Elder, Utah. [1]
NOTE: the family name, PETERSEN, morphed over time and place. Jordan’s grave stone reads Peterson. His children spelled it both ways.
