Rinda and her sister Clara went to Las Vegas where Rinda worked as a cook in a restaurant and Clara as a housekeeper. They were there during the latter years of World War I.
When she returned to Utah, Rinda went to Salina, Utah to work. She became housekeeper for Peter Christian Scorup, who had just lost his wife and had four small children. On October 4, 1920, Peter and Rinda were married in Richfield, Utah.[1][2]

It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rinda:
Petersen-3978 and Peterson-9545 appear to represent the same person because: All fact match. The only difference is the last name, and this can be explained. Her last name at birth is unknown at this time, so the spelling may be either Petersen or Peterson. Peterson is the spelling used on almost all of the references, and seems to be the spelling used by the entire family from this point on. The original family name is spelled Petersen, but all future family spells it Peterson. I estimated that this was the point in time when they changed the spelling. Feel free to choose the other spelling if you see a reason for doing so.
I added a profile I manage, Dorinda Dorcus Peterson as an unmerged match. The two appear to be the same, as every fact matches. The only difference is with the ancestors of these two, starting with her grandparents. These differences need to be resolved before merging.
