Frans Edvard August was born at Grimstorp manor in Norra Sandsjö parish 1 August 1814. Birth records for the parish at that time were lost in a fire, but he is listed with his parents, Herr Secreteraren Gustaf Pettersohn and Fru Antoinette Wilhelmina Gyllenrahm in the household record 1815. The family moved to Kalmar county in 1817.[1]
Jungfru Sophia Wilhelmina Sääf married sergeant Frans Edvard Petersohn 28 March 1842.[2]
Frans Edvard August Petersohn and wife Sophia Wilhelmina Sääf are listed with their children, Frans Gustaf Wilhelm, born in Marstrand (at Karlsten fortress) 1842, Evelina Sophia Antoinette, born 1844 and Carl August Anshelm, born 1846. Sophia Wilhelmina died and Petersohn remarried. The death date looks like 9/9 1853, but a corresponding death record is proving elusive.[3]
Frans Edvard August Petersohn, his second wife, and the younger children moved to Kungälv in 1871.[4]
He lived in Kungälv for the rest of his life.[5][6][7]
Former Styckjunkare Frans Edvard August Petersohn died in Kungälv 8 February 1896.[8]
