Benjamin J Peterson was born on 20 Nov 1793 in Duxbury, Plymouth, Massachusetts, son of Benjamin Peterson (1763 - 1826) and Sarah (Prior) Peterson (1760 - ).
Benjamin married Hannah Merrill . Their children were:
- Africa H Peterson (1829 - 1894)
- Clara S (Peterson) Bicknell (1831 - 1879).
Benjamin died about 31 Jul 1862 aged 68. He is buried in Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, Maine.
