In 1920 and 1930 he lived in Salina, Sevier County, Utah. In 1940 he lived in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.
Afton passed away at an age of ninety-three on December 13, 2010 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri. He is buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City.[1][2][3]
