Biography

The son of Hans Peterson (1847-1910) and Pauline Brunig (1860-1943), George was born in Oakland, California in 1892.^[1] He married Dorothy Duffield Slankard (1897-1924) when he was 33; she was 18. They married in Phoenix, Arizona on June 1, 1915.^[2] The couple had two daughters:

1. Minnie Pauline (1916-2014)^[3]
2. Isabella (1924-2005)

Dorothy died six weeks after giving birth to Isabella.^[4] George remarried, marrying Lillie (Reagan) Peterson sometime in the 1930s. They made their home in Phoenix,^[5] and George passed away there in 1982.^[6]
