Swan Peterson (abt.1850-abt.1909) (b 26 Aug 1850 in Halland, Sweden) and wife Maria Persdotter or Person or Person? Peterson (b Apr 1860, Enslof fors Halland, Sweden) are named with their seven children on the Lebanon Lutheran Church Register[1].

The children were: Esther Alida or Elida Peterson (abt.1884-) (b 3 Jun 1884 in Kane, PA), Hanna Benedikta Peterson (abt.1885-) (b 30 Dec 1885), Johan Robert (b 17 Feb 1888), Peter Edward Peterson (abt.1890-1944) (b 15 Jan 1890), David Bernhard Peterson (abt.1892-) (b 23 Mar 1892), Ivan Ferdinand Peterson (abt.1895-) (shown as Evan in error) (b 24 Jan 1895) and Alma H Peterson (1897-1984) (b 23 Mar 1897) all born in Kanesholm, PA[1]

On 30 Apr 1902, Hannah B (23) and Scotland-born Robert Sneath Cain married in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA.[3]

In 1940 Hanna B (59) is seen as the wife of Robert S Cain (60), living in Pittsburgh, Allegheny, Pennsylvania for at least the last 5 years. Also living with them were their daughter, Jean A Cain (33) and Hanna's mother "Anna M Peterson" (82).[4]

Hanna lost her husband to death on 17 Nov 1961 while they were living at 4744 Wallingford St (inferred as Pittsburgh). Family named at that time were Hanna, Eleanor C Caine Harker (Jackson, Michigan), Jean A (PA), Margaret Cain Gordon (W Homestead, PA), 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.[5]

Research Notes

BIRTH: Need Original Imgage of Swedish Parish Birth Record

1900 US Census distinctly said she was born in Deb 1885 and was age 14 at the time of the census on 19 Jun 1900. She could NOT have been born in 1881 (seen as an estimate in many sources). 30 Dec 1885 has been seen but is presently not yet substantiated.

MARRIAGE: 1884 Need Marriage Record

Married and Emigrated from Sweden in 1884 according to source; however exact date and where cannot be located ... may be in Sweden, may be in Pennsylvania.

DEATH: Missing Death Record.

She did survived her husband's death on 17 Nov 1961. That is the last known fact. Did she move to live near or with one of her children in W Homestead or Jackson, Michigan?

Profiles are Needed for her mother (if we can ever find her original birth and marriage records (most likely in Sweden), her spouse and 3 children. See Red Names in bio.

Question: Did anyone in this family branch marry a Sonbergh?

Can anyone tell me the accurate spelling of Hanna's full original birth name. Can anyone find her birth record (supposedly in Kanesholm, Pennsylvania?

Also. I'm having trouble with the accurately spelled original birth name of her mother, supposedly born in Halland, Sweden. The profile for her mother can't be added without Swedish Record substantiation. Her maiden name as close as I can come was Anna Maria or Mary Persdotter or Persson or Person ... all are being used and seen. Her married surname Peterson. I need the Swedish Parish Birth Record that not only provides a full name at birth, but date of birth/baptism and parentage, According to 1900 census she emigrated and married in 1884. Where... is still in question. Is there a Swedish marriage record for her marriage to Swan Peterson?
