Biography
Hazlett Peterson was born in 1812 in Kingston, Upper Canada. He married Susannah M. Purcells in 1839. He was farming in Murray Township, Northumberland County, in 1842. In 1852 they were in Murray Township with six children. In 1861 they were in Sidney Township . In 1866 the family moved to Newaygo County, Michigan, where he was farming in Croton Township in 1870. In 1880 he was listed as a laborer. He died in Croton Township in 1882.
Footnote
A Hazelton Peterson of Fredericksburgh married Ann Matilda ___ of Adolphustown in 1839 (Ontario Marriage Notices, 1839--Ancestry.com). Possibly this is a version of Hazlett's marriage.
