Norman was born in Newaygo County, Michigan, in 1934 and was 5 in the 1940 census there. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Velma A. ___. They lived in Grand Rapids. They had three sons. In 1990 he lived in Wyoming. He died in Grand Rapids in 2008 and was buried in Lilley Township Cemetery, Bitely, Newaygo County, with his parents and a brother.
