Biography

Ogmund Byre is believed to be the son of Peter Unge.

The farm book for Finnøy has him as the son of Peter Ogmundsson and Sunniva Brynjolvsdatter.^[1]

According to the same book, his wife, fru Ragnhild, was from Aga in Hardanger, and was the daughter of Sigurd Brynjolvsson.^[1]

His probate was 5 Oct 1332. It names three sons, Arnbjørn, Olav, and Peter; only Arnbjørn was still living.^[2]
