Samuel Pettersson was born on 18 Dec 1822 in Göthult in Åtvid parish in Östergötlands län, Sweden. He was the son of Petter Jönsson and his wife Margareta Persdotter.[1]
He was married twice.
His first wife was Anna Elisabet Lindholm. They had two daughters: Maria Christina Emerentia b. 1855 and Mathilda Gustafwa (Samuelsdotter) Auslund (1858 - 1945).
She passed away in 1860, and he then remarried Christina Margareta Köhler.
He took his family and emigarted to the United States in 1864.
According to his daughter Mathilda's obituary, The family lived in Michigan one year, then moved to the Oscar Lake settlement in Douglas county, Minnesota. and she lived there until she married in 1876.
Samuel died in United States.
