Occupation

In 1818 Carl moved from the parish of Nykyrka to the town of Nyköping, Nyköpings Sankt Nicolai parish, where he worked as a hand for the district court judge Stenqvist for a year.[2]

In 1821 they move in together at Tjärsta Mellangård in the parish of Björkvik.[4] They soon move to Ullevi in Nykping S:t Nocolai parish. Their son Carl Gustaf is born there in 1822 but Brita Lisa dies in March the following year.[5] Carl Gustaf was sent to live as a fosterchild in the parish of Kila.

The bride was the farm maid Anna Maja Larsdotter at Girstad.[6] In 1825 the couple moves to Skåra in the parish of Stigtomta and there a son and a duaghter are born.[7][8] Then the family moves to Stora Berga, in Nyköping, in 1832.[9] Maja Lisa died there September 7, 1836, of a fever.[10]

The family moves to Tegnesta in the parish of Stigtomta in 1838 but they only stay there until 1840 when they move back to Skåra[12] In 1842 they move to Wallerst and the following yera they move to Bildsbohl Backstuga in 1843. Carl is not well and is unable to work[13] and in the early 1850's he is living in Nyköping.[14] It is not until 1861 that the couple (all the children have moved out by this time) offically moves to Nyköping only to be signed in under Bildsbohl again the following year.[15]
