Biography

Hat maker Adam Melchior Pettersson married virgin (jungfru) Anna Catharina Jönsdotter Kieper in Ystad on 3 June 1734.[1] It is described how he was born in Otterndorf in Lüneburg and now is fatherless and motherless, without kin in Ystad. Three named witnesses testify that there are no objections to the marriage.

Adam Melchior was married twice and had many children; the sons were hat makers, dyers and cordwainers.

Master Adam Melchior Petersson died in Ystad 25 May 1770.[2]

Notes

Hat Maker Carl Peter Adamsson lived in Simrishamn from 1799 to 1805 with his wife Ingrid Catharina Sjödahl. Their son Jöran Peter was born in Simrishamn.[3]
