Obituary
Mrs. Iva Johns. Friends of Mrs. Johns, whose death occurred in Indiana Hospital at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, are being received in her late residence on East Pike from 10 a.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday, when the body will be removed to the Robinson Funeral Home, for services at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Messrs. Edwin McClintock and Guy V. Jeffers will officiate and interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. A daughter of Mrs. Margaret S. Pettigrew and the late Thomas Sharp Pettigrew, the deceased was born September 28, 1901 in Armstrong County; spent her early years near Shelocta and the last 20 years in and near Indiana. She was a member of the Shelocta United Presbyterian Church. Surviving with the mother are two daughters; Dorothy and Esther, both at home; a sister, Mrs. Jerry Wise of Dayton, Pa., and a brother, Irvin Pettigrew of Indiana.[2]
