Daniel Pettit, third child of William and Charity (Stevenson) Pettit, was born about 1750. He married Martha Russell (or possibly Hawkins) about 1770. Their children included: Charles, Martha, Phineas, Charity, Beulah, Lucretia, John, Rebecca, and Rachel.[1] In 1792, the family joined the Sadsbury Monthly Meeting in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.[2] In 1810, the family moved to Columbiana County, Ohio.[3]
