Biography
Samuel was born about 1805 in South Carolina. He passed away about 1829 in Tennessee, leaving his widow, Margaret Jefferson Wells Petty, with two daughters, Eliza and Sarah. His widow remarried to Samuel's cousin, Robert Cowan Petty. Eliza died in 1833.
Estate was probated in Dickson Co., Tennessee in 1829.[1]
