1900 Census. James was living with his spouse, Emmaline and three sons in Justice Precinct 6, Smith, Texas. His sons were Thomas; Eusanta and Jimmy Petty. This Census shows that Jim's father was born in Mexico and his mother was born in Arkansas.[2]
