Hi Donna! In the merge, you chose father John Peyton over Valentine Peyton, who is now marked as certain. Is there collaborating evidence for the Browning book? Traditionally, most people put Frances Linton as wife of Captain Valentine Peyton - see for example this family group sheet, posted in WikiTree:

Peyton-1045 and Peyton-1096 are not ready to be merged because: sorry! didn't look far enough back. the parents of these profiles need resolution before the duplicates for Frances's father can be merged.

Peyton-1045 and Peyton-1096 appear to represent the same person because: just discovered these duplicate profiles - this Harry is intended to represent the same person as Peyton-1096 (father of Frances m Brown). Please merge. Thanks!

Harold Davey of the Peyton Society of Virginia lists this Henry Peyton (b c1730) as one of the 7 children of Valentine (d 1751) and Frances Linton.
