Biography

John Guffey Peyton, son of Yelverton Peyton and Anne Guffey, was born in 1786.[1][2]

John, born in Madison County, Kentucky, June 1783, married Sarah Carson on December 10, 1810. Sarah was born June 11, 1788, Rowan County, NC, and died 1810. John died in 1821, Howard County, Missouri.[3]

John and Sarah had at least one child: Lindsey Carson Payton, born May 5, 1817, in Madison County, Kentucky.[3]
