Biography
Ephraim Peyton was born 19 Jan 1876 in Gallatin, MS. He was the son of Ephraim Peyton and Annie Coleman. Graduated from the U. S. Military Academy at West Point, NY in the Class of 1899. Much of his army career was spent in the Philippines, and he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for actions in France in World War I. [1], [2]
