Biography

Charles Peyton, son of Philip Peyton, was born and died in Stafford County, Colony of Virginia[1] (born about 1702, died in 1730).[2]

Charles married Diana Evans.[3]

His sons included Evan Peyton and James Peyton, born 1724[4] and 1730, respectively.[2]

It was named for Lady Rebecca Staunton, wife of colonial governor Sir William Gooch. It was the capital of the Northwest Territory from 1738 to 1770. The Virginia General Assembly established Staunton as a town in 1761 and the town was formally incorporated in 1801."

Peyton-1296 and Peyton-520 appear to represent the same person because: birth info doesn't match but the rest would indicate these duplicate profiles are intended to represent the same person. Please merge. Thanks!
