Biography

Records of the Moravians in North Carolina 7:3157. March 9, 1811. Bethania. This afternoon at the mill Br. Pfohl held the funeral of the stillborn son of our neighbors Jesse and Maria Catharina Styers. The infant was one of twin children.

next page, March 17. In the house of Br. Christian Hege, Br. Pfohl baptized the little son of our neighbors, Jesse Styers and Maria Catharina, maiden name Pfaff. The child was one of twins born on the sixth of this month. He received the name Samuel.

Maria Catharina is buried at Nazareth Lutheran, Rural Hall, Forsyth Co. NC
