Eunice was born in 1892, the daughter of J. H. Phaup and Nannie Harwood of Kentucky.
Eunice married by about 1918 to Claude M. Butt, resided in Blue Ridge, Georgia and had at least one surviving child -- daughter Marion, born about 1919.
By 1930, Eunice and her daughter Marion were lodgers in Atlanta, Georgia. Eunice was listed in the census as "married," but there was no 1930 census record for her husband Claude; yet it was Claude who was the informant on Eunice's death certificate after she died that same year at the age of 38.
