John Deehan , aged 36, arrived in Australia in 1864 with wife Mary (Nee Phelan) aged 31 and children John aged 11,Mary aged 9, Anne, aged 7,Bridget aged 5 , Cath, aged 3 and infant Francis.John was a farmer from Kilmalady, Kings Co. Ireland, Parents John and Mary, R/C religion, and could read and write.No relatives in the Colony. Mary's parents were listed as Patrick and Mary Phelan.
