There is a Bridget Phelan (and no Agnes) listed for the 1871 census, but an Agnes Phalen of about the same age (and no Bridget) listed in the 1881 census. The US 1910 census lists an Agnes B. Phelan as the sister of Margaret Phelan, so it looks like Agnes and Bridget Jr. are the same person.
