Biography

Birth and Family

In 1855 Josephus Phelps, also known as Jasper was born in Butler County, Kentucky to Julian Phelps and Mary Polly Ann Felty Phelps. He was a twin. His twin brother was Newton Phelps.[1]

In 1860 Jasper is 4 years old and is shown to be a twin. His twin brother is Newton. Their father Julian is farming and theri mother, Mary Polly Ann Phelps is sewing to make their living. [2]

Marriage and Family

On 2 April 1873, Jasper Phelps married Aldine Burden in Butler County, Kentucky.[3] In 1880, Jasper and Aldine are farming in Burden, Butler Co., Kentucky. They have two children.[4]

Death and Burial

Josephus "Jasper" Phelps died on 6 June 1933. He is buried in Mount Vernon Cemetery, Dexterville, Butler County, Kentucky, USA. The memorial page confirms that Aldine Burden is his wife. [5][6]
