Epaphras Phelps married Martha Dow

Epaphras Phelps was a carpenter and builder. He resided in Salem IN, Borden IN, Unionville, Illinois., and Attica, Iowa, where he d. 1 May, 1894. Survived by his widow Martha.

Epaphras Hiram Phelps brother of Julia Ann Phelps Sherwood also of Attica, Iowa b. Delphi, N. Y., 17 June, 1817. Removed with his father to Salem, IN, 1819 m. Martha Dow. 24 Sept. 1839. d/o Henry and Mercy (Kinney) Dow, and was b. Hartford, Ct.. 5 Sept, 1817.
