Biography

John was born in 1835. The 1870 US Census has two others with the family. C.R. McNealy, 15, born abt 1855 in Indiana, with the note "Bound to Phelps". Also, Martha Marshall, 23, born abt 1847 in Tennessee, with the note "Orphan Girl". He passed away in 1902.
