Inscription on the family plot where Jean was buried: "1859. To the memory of ROBERT GORDON farmer Tayloch, Clatt d.12 Oct.1858 aged 68, his wife JANE PHILIP d. there 6 Nov.1860 aged 55. Of their sons GEORGE d.11 May 1836 aged 3, JAMES d.23 Apr. 1845 aged 17, JOHN d.19 Nov. 1854 aged 20, ROBERT d.13 Apr. 1857 aged 18 & three who died in infancy. Their dau. JANE d. Insch 25 Sept.1865 aged 37"
