Biography

Thomas was born in Monquhitter, Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1837 [1] to Thomas Philip and Jane Paterson. [2] Thomas emigrated to Canada in 1856, following his brothers George and Colin. It's supposed that he brought his younger sister Eliza along with him. It doesn't appear that Thomas ever married.

Census data suggests that Thomas immigrated in 1856.
