Biography
Samuel was born about 1837. He is the son of Joseph Phillips and Mary Nevers.
Samuel is noted in the Census of 1851 as a 13 year old boy, son of JAC Phillips.
He married his cousin, Mary Phillips, the daughter of David Phillips and Mary Moore. She was his first cousin 1x.

- Greenbush (Carleton Co.) Feb. 18 - George PHILLIPS and wife, who for a number of years have been residing at Rat Portage, Canada, in company with Henry PHILLIPS and family of Woodstock, made a flying visit to Nevers PHILLIPS and family a week ago last Sabbath.
