He is buried in the same cemetery in Erie County, New York, as his sister Mary Ann (Phillips) Dean.
If he is the Eldridge Phillips in Ontario County, New York, in the 1820 Census, the male aged 16-25 in his household could be a younger brother (Ezra, who shows up aged 20-30 in the same part of Erie County as Eldridge in the 1830 Census). NOTE: Ezra Phillips would get married back in Connecticut in 1825 to Lovisa Marvin (whose sister Laura Marvin had married Samuel Phillips, brother of Eldridge Phillips Jr.). 1820 Census: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XHLB-61Z
His age (40-49) in the 1830 Census matches him being born about 1787-1788 (after his parents' 1786 marriage and before the 1790 Census).
He is said to have bought property (lot 54) in June 1829. He sold the north 1/2 on 21 October 1833, and then his family sold the rest in August 1837 (after his death).
The name of his wife is unknown. She is only known as Mrs. Phillips (died 01 May 1830, Erie County, New York). He married a second (or third?) wife (Mary Jane "Unknown"; maiden name Sherwood?) between 1830 and 1834.
Findagrave says: "Probate identifies heirs as Harry Phillips, Henry Phillips, Sylvan, Ann (married name Bradley), Abigail Phillips (married Olny(?) Seamans), Margaret Phillips, Lucina (married Samuel Seamans Jr.), Zerlana (?) Phillips (married name Rankin(?) and Eldridge Jr.
