Biography

Jeremiah was born in 1837. He was the son of Joseph Phillips and Elizabeth Lawson. In 1837 Jeremiah's father Joseph was granted two hundred acres of land lying on Little Bull Creek Creek in Campbell County, Tennessee. Entry made : March 10, 1836, Surveyed : April 11, 1836, Granted : September 16, 1837 ( on December 17, 1849 Little Bull Creek became part of Scott County, Tennessee ). Jeremiah married Malinda Delk on August 12, 1855, in Scott County, Tennessee, USA. They lived at Bull Creek in Scott County. He passed away on March 28, 1918 at Bull Creek.
