Betty Johnson Pruitt
JONESVILLE, SC-- Betty Phillips Johnson Pruitt, 74, widow of Charles E. Johnson and Olin D. Pruitt, of 609 North Main Street, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at the Wallace Thompson Hospital.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Ruben and Rosa Lee Powell Phillips, she was a retired employee of Tietex and was a member of Care Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Ray E. and Jerry Johnson both of Spartanburg; two sisters, Essie Mae Moore and Francis Moore both of Startex; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Thelma and Loyd Turner. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Pearson and Erselle Sutton.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2008 in Wood Memorial Park, Duncan, SC, conducted by Rev. David Slatton. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home of Thelma and Loyd Turner.
