Benjamin Phillips was born about 1803 in Appling, Columbia County, Georgia, USA, son of Ichabod S. Phillips (~1760–1843).
Benjamin (21) married Mary Polly Parris (29) (born about 1795 in Appling) on September 8, 1825 in Grove Hill, Clarke County, Alabama, USA. Their son was Joel Coleman Phillips (~1820–~1886).
