OBITUARY: Wilma Lee Chovanec, 82, of Caldwell, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 30, 2018. She was the daughter of August Ernest Phillips Sr. and Parlee (Williams) Phillips. Wilma was born in Houston, TX on November 9, 1936. She was a restaurant and bar owner in Burleson county. Wilma enjoyed the country life hunting and fishing, also she loved to watch WWE wrestling. She was a loving grandmother that would spend time with her grandchildren. She would take trips to the casinos with friends for fun. Wilma was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Charles William Chovanec, Sr.; a son, Burtis Alfred Morse; a brother, Ernest August Phillips Jr.; a sister, Carolyn Hammond. She is survived by her son, Charles Chovanec and wife Kristel Gayle; a sister, Patricia Fulmer; four grandchildren, Trevin William Chovanec, Kinsley Nicole Chovanec, Burtis August Morse, and Patricia Lee Morse; and one great grandchild, Bryleigh Jane Morse.
