Samuel Phillips was born at Taunton on 10 Feb 1697 (VR 1:335), and died after 23 Apr 1771 (deed), the son of James and Elizabeth (French) Phillips. He married Lydia BASSETT 17 Nov 1726 at Bridgewater.[1]
