Marriage: Layman Phillips and Maxine Osbourn (1914-1995) were married on 22 Jun 1942. They obtained their license to marry in Bradford County, Florida, but the actual marriage ceremony took place at the First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida with the Reverend U. S. (Ulysses Short) Gordon officiating.[5] They were the parents of at least one child. They were divorced in 1963.[6]
Military Service: Layman Phillips was a member of the United States Army for twenty years from 10 March 1937 until 31 March 1957. He was a veteran of World War II.[7]
Death: Layman Phillips passed away on 30 August 1978 in Alachua County, Florida. He was 60 years old.[1][2]
