Phillips-14155 and Phillips-4003 appear to represent the same person because: Samuel was the son of John and the first Unknown Unknown wife. He was born before 1656
If this is my Samuel Phillips, who married Mary Elizabeth COBB on 15 May 1676 in Taunton, Massachusetts, I have his birth year as 1654 and he died on 30 March, 1736 in Exeter, Washington, Rhode Island. He was 81 years old. He was buried in the Old Churchyard of St. Paul's Church in Narragansett, North Kingstown, Rhode Island. My brother had a DNA match with a Phillips in Rhode Island. His wife was very helpful. She went back to some old handwritten records she had gathered years ago when she went to the local library. She also directed me to check these two items online:
HISTORY OF THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN NARRAGANSETT, RHODE ISLAND
HISTORY OF NORTH KINGSTOWN, RHODE ISLAND
I was then able to trace my Phillips line back to my brother.
