Mary was born during 1824. She was the daughter of William Phillips a Blacksmith and Elizabeth Gwynne of Llantood.
During the year Mary was born, her parents were living at Bwlch y fedwen in the parish of Nevern.
Mary passed away on the 28th of June 1825, aged 1 year and 3 months. She is buried in the Gwynne plot at St. Illtyd's church cemetery, Llantood with her ancestors.
