Ida was born on June 7, 1893 in Scott County, Tennessee. She married George Harrison Keeton on December 3, 1908 in Scott County, after his death in 1925 she married Ezekiel Leo Strunk on December 1 ,1928 in Scott County. She passed away on January 28, 1978 at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida, Scott County.

Ida Keeton Strunk, 84, of Rt. 1, Oneida, passed away in the Scott County Hospital Saturday evening, January 28; she was the daughter of the late Bill Phipps and the late Elvira Kidd Phipps; a member of the Tunnell Hill Baptist Church. Survivors: son: Arvil Keeton of Cincinnati, Ohio; four daughters: Mrs. Leamon (Millie) Phillips of Oneida, Mrs. Virgil (Maude) Hammock of Rt. 3, Oneida, Mrs. Fred (Edith) Gibson of Rt. 2, Oneida, Mrs. Elmer (Golda) Yancey of Cincinnati, Ohio, four brothers: Luke Phipps of Dayton, Ohio, Willie Phipps of Jeffersonville, Indian [Indiana], Van Phipps of Tipp City, Ohio, Dana Phipps of Waynesburg, Ky., fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the West-Collins & Murley Funeral Home Chapel 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, with Rev. Dilmon Stanley and Rev. Vaughn Burress officiating.
